PROJECT
On November, 23rd and 29, 2010 on a scene Theater-concert hall
"The Palace on Jauze" will take place the world premiere
of ballet "Laura" on music of known Moscow composer David
Krivitsky.
In ballet immemorial themes of Love and Death, the creator and crowd
rise. A name of Laura - " laurels of glory" - the composer
took from last novel of the outstanding writer Vladimir Nabokov
which creativity has served as an impulse by a birth of idea of
ballet and has predetermined the romantic-ennobled system of music.
On the other hand, Laura is an allegory, a many-sided image of heroines
of the Silver Age, great women in art, and - simultaneously - an
embodiment of the vital beginning. The ballet material gives broad
lands for creativity of the director-choreographer, realization
of own vision of product.
Owing to specificity of a plot and necessity of new forms of an
embodiment D.Krivitsky's ballet is not limited to traditional forms
of statement. The plan of directors is stretched to a genre of new,
synthetic ballet with multimedia support and an audiovisual sound-track,
plastic installations, individual scenography, elements of drama
dance etc.
Duration of performance is 75 15 minutes.
For realisation of this project the star command is collected really:
the ballet master-director and the set designer - the winner of
the first award, the award "For choreographic interpretation",
the Special Prize of the Press (the International competition of
a modern choreography, Vitebsk), the winner of the award of Morisa
Bezhara (the International competition of ballet dancers "Arabesque",
1994), the student of the International competition of a modern
choreography (France), the winner of the award "Gold mask"
(Poland) Elena Bogdanovich; the
artist all over the world - the winner of the national award of
Latvia in the field of a theatrical art (1996, 2005), the winner
of the award "Gold mask" Gleb
Filshtinsky, the deserved actress of Russia, the soloist of
Russian chamber ballet "Moscow" Marina
Nikitina, the winner of the award "Gold mask"Roman
Andrejkin, etc.
Uniqueness of this project that it is actually impossible to find
in repertoire of capital theatres of ballet statements on music
of modern Russian composers. To give to the Moscow spectators possibility
to get acquainted with creativity of the contemporary, to keep development
of domestic choreographic thought - the major educational mission.
Therefore the world premiere of ballet "Laura" - the joint
action of two large Russian festivals: "ART NOVEMBER"
and the International musical festival of ontemporary music "MOSCOW
AUTUMN".
The project is supported by Department of culture of a city of Moscow
and the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation.
